CNET Award Nomination Adds To Recognition Of Corizon Approach to Mashing up Enterprise Composite Applications
London - July 30th 2007, The Corizon Platform has been short-listed for a prestigious CNET technology award, in the ´Best Enterprise Software´ category. This follows hot on the heels of another award success, where a Corizon deployment at BT received an Effective IT Award earlier this month. For more details on the awards, please visit awards.cnetnetworks.co.uk/.

An industry first, the Corizon Platform enables pieces of business application User Interfaces to be ´mashed´ together into sophisticated, task oriented composite applications. These simplify the end-user experience of IT and deliver significant business efficiencies. These composite applications are created by the innovative re-use of UI building blocks called ´UI Services´. These can be created from scratch or, to maximise speed and re-use with minimum cost, extracted non-invasively from existing applications. UI Services provide functionality that is built and controlled by IT. However, creation of the composite applications themselves can then be managed by analysts with a better understanding of key business processes, who do not need deep technical skills. This ensures IT can be tuned to solve business problems at the point of need and eliminates the business-IT disconnect that so often plagues enterprises.

"Corizon´s novel UI Service brings the power of enterprise mash-ups to the user interface,"

commented Jason Bloomberg, Senior Analyst, ZapThink.

"By taking a service-oriented approach to the user interface, Corizon gives the line of business greater control over their applications in a governed, robust enterprise environment."

Roger Buck, Broadband Helpdesk IT Change Manager, BT and manager of several Corizon deployments that have transformed the desktops of thousands of end users comments:

"Corizon´s software has allowed us to take an agile approach to software development; empowering business uses to focus on the problem at hand and technical managers to provide a higher level of service and flexibility. We´ve seen remarkable results from our initial deployments and congratulate Corizon on a well deserved nomination."

Eric Guilloteau, Founder and CEO of Corizon, comments:

"We´re thrilled to have our product selected by the judges for the final shortlist. It is further recognition of the value of our approach as the excitement around mash-ups continues to raise expectations in the enterprise. CIOs see the ease with which information and functions from many applications can be mashed together in the consumer world and wonder why the same principles can´t be applied in their businesses, just as developers look at what we offer and hope for the end of traditional stovepiped application development. This is where Corizon´s Platform offers a sea change for the industry."
