Key executive joins Corizon to spearhead new product development
Rob Mills appointed Vice President of Engineering as Corizon gears up for year of growth
December 19 2007, London UK software company Corizon today announces the appointment of Rob Mills as Vice President of Engineering. As part of the senior management team, Mills will be responsible for building and maintaining the entire Corizon product portfolio. Corizon has also announced that existing senior executive Edwin Van Der Sanden has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer and David Davies will become Vice President of Marketing.Corizon technologies enable creation of building blocks of user interface (UI) called UI Services. The UI Services can be created from scratch or, to maximise speed and re-use with minimum cost, extracted non-invasively from existing applications. These can then be mashed-up in a single composite UI, simplifying the user experience, cutting costs, and reducing the security risk inherent in opening entire applications to new users. The Corizon application can be used to address the missing link in Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) by putting a face on services within an enterprise infrastructure. Mills is tasked with continuing to develop Corizons award-winning applications and has a proven track record of successfully leading product development programmes at organisations such as Pervasic, Anite and Altio.
Rob Mills, VP Engineering, Corizon, said:
"The concept of the enterprise mash-up has entered the mainstream in the last twelve months. Corizon has been helping customers to create sophisticated, scalable composite applications using this sort of technology for years, putting it in the perfect position to continue providing products that address real business issues. I am looking forward to helping drive Corizon to the next stage of its evolution."
The addition of Mills also allows existing members of the senior management team to focus on specific areas as the company continues to expand. The previous Head of Engineering, Edwin Van Der Sanden has been promoted to CTO, responsible for steering the technical direction of the Corizon product portfolio and David Davies is now focusing solely on taking Corizon to market, responsible for steering its expansion into different geographies and vertical markets.Eric Guilloteau, Founder and CEO of Corizon, said:
"2007 has been an outstanding year for Corizon - we have launched the most powerful version of our platform to date, we continue to add new partners, expand further into Europe, and have won awards for our work with leading blue chip companies it appears the market has caught up with our vision for enterprise grade mashups. Rob is joining Corizon at a very exciting time in our companys history, and were delighted to have him on board."
