Corizon enables rapid development of enterprise mashups for Oracle E-Business Suite

14 May 2009 - London

Corizon, developer of the leading enterprise mashup platform that rapidly and cost-effectively improves user efficiency, announces Corizon for Oracle E-Business. This new solution provides an enterprise mashup platform that makes it quick and easy to integrate legacy, home-grown and third party applications into Oracle’s E-Business Suite of enterprise software applications.

Corizon for Oracle E-Business enables organisations that use a mixture of Oracle and non-Oracle applications to create enterprise mashups that massively reduce development bottlenecks, increase productivity and efficiency, substantially reduce IT costs and deliver greater flexibility.

Oracle E-Business Suite is a comprehensive set of business applications that span business processes such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), financial and project management, human resources and supply chain management.

Corizon for Oracle E-Business enables the creation of reusable components from third-party applications and their incorporation directly into the Oracle E-Business Suite. Businesses can now create a single, task-focused, composite application on the desktop. This removes the need for business users to switch between different applications in the course of their work, allowing them to work much faster and more efficiently, and eliminates frustrations and delays faced by users that navigate their way though several applications to follow business processes.

Corizon for Oracle E-Business Suite applies service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles to the user interface layer. Using a visual process builder, non-technical staff can control the look and workflow of the final mashup and therefore they can update it whenever a business process changes or is improved. A mashup can be built for every business process that requires functionality from more than one application – and each one can be completed in a matter of days or weeks, thanks to the reusability of the mashable components.

Eric Guilloteau, CEO, Corizon said:

"Following the success of Corizon for Siebel, we have extended the concept, now Oracle E-Business Suite users can benefit from our mashup platform capability. The value of mashup applications can be brought into the E-Business Suite in as little as a day. Organisations are looking for low-risk ways to innovate and increase business efficiency: enterprise mashups not only provide the solution, they bring a new level of innovation and freedom by optimising complex business processes and giving individuals the choice of the best application for every task.”

Andrew Kellett, Senior Research Analyst, at Butler Group said:

"Used effectively, enterprise mashup platforms can enable businesses to better integrate their processes and applications across the enterprise. With the right approach and the right framework vendor, mashups can provide a shared language for IT and business users, so that they can work together to enhance IT efficiency and user productivity. Corizon's approach of providing solutions tailored for some of the most complex business applications, including Oracle E-Business Suite, provides a good starting point for organisations that are considering mashups.”
